Who We Are

We are a diverse team of attorneys, researchers, journalists and human rights experts. We are all human rights advocates.

The International Institute on Race, Equality and Human Rights (Race and Equality) is an international non-governmental organization that works with partner organizations and activists in Latin America to promote and protect the human rights of populations in marginalized conditions, whether due to their national or ethnic origin, their sexual orientation or gender identity. We strengthen grassroots organizations so that they become political actors and promote structural changes in the countries where we work. Our methodology is based on technical training, documentation of human rights violations and advocacy work at the national and international level to achieve sustainable structural changes.
